Privacy Policy – THE FAST APPS

Preamble

THE FAST APPS aims to enable users of products, services, and, more generally, anyone interacting with a brand, company, or organization to share their opinions, remarks, and suggestions.

Responding to a survey through THE FAST APPS, a trusted third party, involves sharing information with the brand, company, or organization commissioning the survey for its exclusive use.

The main types of information collected are as follows:

  • Information shared by respondents with the commissioning entity. This includes data voluntarily provided by the respondent (rating, feedback, comments, photos, voice recordings, personal details, etc.) via interactive kiosks or digital applications in response to the commissioning entity’s questions (brands, retailers, organizations, associations, etc.) to better understand them and potentially provide answers.

These data can be controlled by users at any time by making a request at thefastapps.com, in accordance with the French Data Protection Act (“Informatique et Libertés”) of January 6, 1978, as amended in 2004, and later by Law No. 2018-493 of June 20, 2018, and Decree No. 2019-536 of May 29, 2019. Respondents have the right to access and rectify their personal data, which they can exercise by updating their information at any time by contacting the publisher.

Because trust is a top priority for both respondents and commissioning entities, THE FAST APPS adheres to the following principles to protect personal data:

  • THE FAST APPS does not rent, sell, or otherwise provide personal data to third parties other than the commissioning entity without consent.
  • All personal data provided is securely stored using industry-standard technologies. These data are retained for a maximum of 60 months, unless the commissioning entity requests a shorter retention period.
  • The data protection policy complies with all regulations and best practices outlined in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the following key provisions:
    • The right to access the information held about a respondent (Article 15).
    • The right to request deletion of this information (Article 17).
    • The obligation to ensure data protection by design and by default (Article 25).
    • The absence of profiling functionalities (Article 22).
    • Notification in the event of a data breach (Article 33).
    • Implementation of a code of conduct or charter (Article 40).

THE FAST APPS acts as a data processor, while the data controller remains the brand, company, or organization commissioning the survey.

1. Data Collection

When participating in surveys, respondents may be required to provide their email address or mobile phone number. THE FAST APPS may also collect information about:

  • The browser type used.
  • The operating system of the respondent.
  • The products or services on which feedback was given.
  • Location data obtained via GPS if requested by the commissioning company, and if the user has activated GPS and explicitly agreed to share their location.

Like most mobile applications, THE FAST APPS uses cookies and log files to personalize the user experience or transmit responses and communications from brands. The primary purposes include:

  • Storing the services or products reviewed to track user feedback history.
  • Collecting statistical data.

2. Use of Personal Data

The data collected by THE FAST APPS is processed to:

  • Enable the commissioning entity to provide a response to the respondent.
  • Invite the respondent to participate in further surveys or studies.

The data is intended exclusively for the commissioning entities (brands, businesses, retailers, associations, organizations, etc.), which seek respondent feedback (customers, the public, employees, guests, etc.) via interactive kiosks and other digital solutions developed by THE FAST APPS.

In accordance with the French Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978 (amended in 2004), respondents have the right to access and rectify their data. They may also object to data processing for legitimate reasons.

3. Data Sharing with Third Parties

The information collected through THE FAST APPS is exclusively shared with the commissioning entity. Under no circumstances is this data transferred, sold, or rented to third parties.

4. Data Retention

THE FAST APPS securely stores collected data for a maximum of 60 months, unless the commissioning entity requests a shorter retention period.

5. Data Provided by Respondents

Responses to survey questions, ratings, choices, comments, and images submitted by contributors are considered free of rights and may be used by the commissioning entity for any useful purpose, under their responsibility, and in compliance with GDPR regulations.
